What’s Tested
Marijuana Drug Screening Test is a targeted analysis designed to detect the presence of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the active psychoactive component of cannabis, or its metabolites in urine.
This test is widely used for employment screening, legal cases, or clinical monitoring where confirmation of recent or past marijuana use is necessary.
What’s being tested:
A marijuana urine screening test checks for THC’s main breakdown product, not for THC itself at the moment of use. It targets 11‑nor‑9‑carboxy‑THC (THC‑COOH), the primary inactive metabolite your body produces after cannabis consumption, which is then eliminated in the urine over time. When this metabolite is present, it indicates marijuana exposure within the recent detection window (typically days to weeks, depending on how often and how much someone uses).
What to expect after the test
After you provide your specimen, it generally takes few business days to process and release your test results. Your test results will be available in a clear and easy-to-read report. Independent physicians are available to discuss questions or concerns you may have regarding your results.
